We support your projects with a full submittal package for review and engineer approval. We also offer precise CAD line drawings and lay schedules, with a complete Bill of Material to help you save time and money during installation.
Fabricated Ductile Iron Pipe
Flange and wall pipe are fabricated with custom lengths to meet specific project needs. We offer the most generally accepted joint configurations in the industry.
We specialize in abrasive linings and industry specific coatings to meet the needs of the owner and engineer.
We offer various appurtenances such as taps, welded outlets, thread-o-lets, and collars for specific design needs.
Our fabrication facility is NSF – 61 approved and is the largest ductile fabrication facility in the Mid-West. We offer ductile iron pipe and fittings in all available diameters and configuration.
Our fabrication facility produces ductile iron fabricated pipe for water and wastewater treatment plant projects across the country. From Design and Build concepts, to the smallest pump and lift stations, we are the preferred fabrication facility.
Pipe Connection Options
We fabricate flange pipe to meet and exceed the latest revision of AWWA C115/ANSI A21.15 standard. Pipe from 3-inch up to 48-inch in diameter can be fabricated in our facility. While a flange connection is the most common joint type for treatment plants, there are many other options and joint configurations that can be fabricated.
Joint combination can vary from one end of the pipe to the other. McWane Ductile can fabricate the specific joint you need for any project.
Different pipe joint options include:
- 125 lb. Flange
- Mechanical Joint
- Rigid and Flexible Grooved
- Plain End
- MJ Coupled Joint
- TR Flex® Restrained Joint
- Extra Heavy 250 lb. Flange
Wall Pipe
When penetrating an exterior structure or traveling through an interior wall, typically a wall pipe is needed to make the connection. McWane Ductile can meet your wall pipe needs with any configuration that is required.
Wall pipe can be fabricated with most joint types McWane Ductile offers. Special wall collars are continuously welded to assure proper water stop function.
Linings & Coatings
Most fabricated pipe specifications call for a cement lining with a bituminous seal coat. Other sewer, sludge, or grit lines may need additional abrasive inhibitors such as Protecto 401™ or specialized glass lining materials to meet the engineer’s requirements. McWane Ductile-Ohio can fabricate pipe with these specialty linings for your project.
In addition to the abrasive inhibitors offered, we can provide the piping with bare metal on the inside, for blower or air lines specified on the project.
As for the outside of the pipe, we offer standard bituminous coating, Tnemec and Sherwin Williams primers, and epoxies, as well as other specialty coatings that may be required. Be sure to contact your McWane Ductile Sales Representative for all available primers and coatings.
Pipe Appurtenances
Sometimes projects call for modifications to be added to the pipe barrel. McWane Ductile can make these customizations to meet your needs.
Typical modifications include:
- Holes
- NPT Taps
- Weld-on Bossed Outlets
- Thread-O-Lets
Custom Fabrications
In the event a non-typical piece or fitting is needed, please contact your McWane Ductile sales representative to inquire on the potential to create these items.
