Kennedy Valve sponsors 2017 Run for Epilepsy
On July 15, 2017, Kennedy Valve was proud to once again sponsor the annual Run for Epilepsy in Elmira, New York to raise awareness and funds to support those dealing with epilepsy. It was a beautiful day for the race along the Lackawanna Trail in East Elmira. Over 100 people participated in this year’s event including many Kennedy Valve team members and their families. In fact, Engineering and Quality Manager Bruce Rohdenburg came in first place in the Male Masters division.
A number of participants and volunteers have been personally touched by epilepsy. The winner for two years in a row is a local mom whose son, Jonah was born with cerebral palsy and later diagnosed with epilepsy in 2016. Jonah and his mother Hollie set a Guinness world record with their runs and Kennedy Valve is honored to have them participate in our event every year.
We are pleased to announce that the event raised $6,000 which was donated to Epilepsy Pralid.
