Record-breaking temperatures have challenged facilities to find creative solutions to maintain the safety of their teams. As a foundry that deals with molten iron, facility temperatures can reach 150 degrees in the summer months, emphasizing the need for quality PPE, hydration stations and onsite health professionals to maintain a healthy team. In addition to these efforts, McWane Ductile has invested in cooling stations, extra fans, hydrating and healthy snacks and education opportunities to ensure their team members have the best resources for beating the summer heat.
