McWane Poles - Iron Strong

In Woodward, Oklahoma, Northwest Electric Coop experienced a straight-line wind event last summer that knocked down several wood poles. But as you can see in these photos, their ductile iron poles stood resilient. Northwest Electric Coop is utilizing ductile iron poles throughout their system to prevent a cascading failure of wood poles when a wind or ice event happens, and this summer their grid is stronger than ever.
