McWane acquires Clear Water Manufacturing
McWane, Inc. recently completed the acquisition of Clear Water Manufacturing Corp, headquartered in Wethersfield, Connecticut. Clear Water Manufacturing joins McWane as a premier manufacturer and distributor of ductile iron and steel pipe fabrications. In addition to their location in Connecticut, Clear Water currently operates manufacturing facilities in Lynchburg, Virginia, Louisville, Kentucky, and Houston, Texas.
McWane waterworks group President Kevin Bense stated that the shared values between the two companies and additional locations will enhance McWane’s market position. “McWane and Clear Water share a commitment to their team members, quality products and unparalleled customer service. We welcome the Clear Water team members to the McWane family. This acquisition is part of our on-going strategy to fill out our product portfolio for the water treatment market segment. It will expand our existing fabricated pipe business into other regions of the US and improve our ability to service distribution partners in other parts of the country.”
“Many of us have worked with McWane, not just at Clear Water, but as members of other organizations for almost thirty years,’ said Clear Water President Patrick Sullivan. McWane is the best possible fit for Clear Water and our team members.”
Clear Water will operate as a division of the McWane Plant and Industrial (MPI) group, which is the leading supplier of valves, pipe, and fittings in the wastewater, industrial, and surface water flow markets. MPI already offers one of the most complete product portfolios in the industry, and the addition of Clear Water will further broaden its package.
